Strawberry Popsicle Recipe

Hi, Lovely Readers!

I hope you all are have a wonderful week. I love making things homemade, and I wanted to try something new for the kids to try. They haven't been feeling very well so I wanted to make sure I made something that wasn't full of artifical flavors and ingredients.

Here is a recipe for strawberry popsicles. I found it on Pinterest. It is not my recipe, but I did tweak it a little bit to fit what I had at my home. You can purchase the popsicle sleeves on Amazon. There is one set that comes with a funnel too!

Here is the link for the original recipe:

The recipe is very simple and easy.

You can substitute sugar with honey for kids over age one. It is a one to one ratio.

This makes about 10 popsicles, but you could have more since I used popsicle sleeves instead.

Recipe

Tools needed

  • Blender

  • Small funnel

  • Tall cup

  • Popsicle sleeves or popsicle molds with sticks

Ingredients

  • 20 fresh strawberries, hulled

  • 1/2 cup of sugar or 1/2 cup of honey (If you prefer to not have sugar, you can add 1/4 cup or either, or no sugar/honey)

  • 1 cup of water (I added 1 cup of ice and a splash of water to make the freezing time go faster)

Directions

  1. Wash strawberries in a splash of white vinegar and water, rinse, and hull them.

  2. Add all the ingredients into the blender. Add the strawberries first so everything blends easily.

  3. Use a funnel to fill the popsicle sleeves or popsicle molds. I place the popsicle sleeve in a tall cup to help make pouring easier. Only fill the popsicle sleeves enough to be able to close them without it overflowing. About a 1/4 inch from the top. If you are using popsicle molds, fill 3/4 full and place in the sticks after.

  4. Place popsicle sleeves or popsicle molds in freezer standing up. Freeze for at least 3 hours or overnight.

  5. When frozen, you can either use scissors to cut the popsicle sleeves. If you have the resealable ones, just open and eat. If you are using popsicle molds, you may need to run warm water over the mold to get them out.

  6. Enjoy!

I hope you enjoy the recipe!

Our children had ones without sugar or honey. They said it was ok, but it definitely could use something to sweeten it. If you want to substitute for blueberries or any fruit, I would say about 4-5 cups worth.
