An Unexpected Blessing

Updated: Mar 1, 2023

Psalm 127:3 Lo, children are an heritage of the LORD: and the fruit of the womb is his reward.

127:4 As arrows are in the hand of a mighty man; so are children of the youth.

127:5 Happy is the man that hath his quiver full of them: they shall not be ashamed, but they shall speak with the enemies in the gate.

Hi, Lovely Readers!

Today's post is going to be focused on children. I hope you enjoy reading this.

I posted a picture of the mama koala with her baby because I thought it was cute and reminded me of what my kids do too. 😊

We have 3 beautiful children.

Lily is 6 years old, born in 2013.

Seth is 3 years old, born in 2017.

Jude is 8 months old, born in 2019.

Each child was prayed for, and they have been such a blessing to my husband Aaron and me. We love them all.

The Back Story

Ever since I was a teenager, I wanted to get married and have children. It was something I prayed about a lot. I grew up in a godly home, and I focused on my education. Sometimes I hung out with friends. Then, in 2009, the Lord answered my prayers. I am so grateful for an answer to prayers. I met Aaron, and we got married in 2011. The rest of the details of our story is for later.

Now we thought we had the perfect family with 3 children. We always said that we will just let the Lord bless us with as many children as we can have. Well now here comes the curve ball...

Pure Surprise

My husband Aaron kept telling me I kept acting really different and not like my usual self. I told him I was super tired and didn't feel good. He just kept saying you're ok.

I experienced pretty bad fatigue and nausea for at least a few days.

On June 11, 2020, I decided to take 2 pregnancy tests. Guess what, they were both positive. I confirmed it at my doctor's office the following day.

We are proud to say that we are expecting to add a fourth child in early 2021. I can't confirm an exact due date since this child was an unexpected blessing. We are excited, nervous, and more than anything we are thankful for another child. I can't wait to see what our little one will be! Our oldest, Lily, says she really wants it to be a girl. We shall see if she gets her wish.❤

I know this post may be a big shock to some people. It surely caught us by surprise. Others might be excited for us, and can't wait to find out what we are having. For some readers, this might be sensitive topic if you are trying to conceive. Please know that I am praying for you ladies specifically. I hope one day you will be able to have a child or add to your family. It is definitely a joy to have children.

As I sit here in pure shock, I thank God for another child to raise up with Aaron. I pray that this child will one day become a believer who goes soul winning.

I have some prayer requests that I hope my readers won't mind me asking.

Please pray for my health during this pregnancy, smooth labor, and a safe delivery. I tend to have many health issues, and my last 3 deliveries were cesareans. Also, please pray for our baby's health. Thank you so much.❤

I will try my best to blog about this pregnancy journey and keep everyone updated. Usually my first trimester is a struggle to get through so the blog posts for the next several weeks might be short and to the point.

Shout out to one of my good friend Heather for being there for me last week. I am so grateful for our friendship. You and your husband have been such a blessing to us since we moved to SC. Thank you.

Well I hope you enjoyed read today's blog. Have a blessed rest of the week.
