A Decade With My Love Aaron

Hi, Lovely Readers!

I hope you all are having a wonderful weekend. We had some nice weather today and enjoyed the outdoors as a family.

Today is my husband and my 10 year wedding anniversary. We got married in MI on April 16, 2011. So I want to take some time to reflect and wish my husband a happy 10 year anniversary. Also, I want to share some things on marriage. I hope you will enjoy this blog post.

Happy 10 year anniversary to my husband Aaron! We have gone through so much in the last 10 years as a married couple. I could literally write a book about our life together. (We met in 2009.)

As I sit here on our way home from Isle of Palms, I wanted to write a love letter to my husband.

Dear Aaron,

Wow! We have reached our 10 years of marriage today. Happy anniversary!

I am so thankful and blessed to have you as my husband. You are my rock and my comforter. You have always supported me when I felt like I was alone. You truly meant what you said when you said your vows to me. You said, "...for better, for worse, for richer, for poorer, in sickness and in health, to love and to cherish, till death us do part..."

I thank you for always being there for me and praying with me. You were there for me when we had each of our 4 children, when I had my back surgery, when I had my appendectomy, and when I had my car accident. You have always been a shoulder to cry on, someone to laugh with, and you always know how to make me so happy and feel loved. You picked up our whole family, and we moved across states from MI to SC. We bought a house in 2020. In October, I was sick in the hospital, and you stayed home and held down the fort with our 3 kids. You are an amazing husband and father.

I love you so much. I can't wait to see what the next 10 years will be like.

Happy anniversary pookie bear!❤

Love,

Your wifey

Marriage has been one of my dreams since I was a young girl. I would pray for the Lord to send me a man that would choose me to marry him. I wasn't the girl that got chosen to go out on dates with. Instead, I was the homebody who focused on the Lord, my education, and career. So the fact that I met Aaron and he chose to marry me was a miracle. We came from two different worlds. I am so thankful my prayers were answered. He has been such a huge blessing in my life.

I hope and pray the single ladies that are reading this are encouraged and will find their true love. While you are dating, take your time and don't settle down just for anyone. Be in prayer for the Lord to guide you while you are waiting for your future husband that is a saved man & loves the Lord with all his heart.

Marriage has it's ups and downs. It is a two way relationship, and the Lord should be the center of it all. It takes a lot of work, but it is so worth it in the end. It is amazing to enjoy life with your best friend, who is the person you love.

If you are married, I pray you strengthen one another and you both are there for each other no matter what. Pray for each other. Remember your vows you gave to one another. As husbands and wives, we need to be faithful to the Lord to maintain a healthy marriage.

These bible verses explain exactly what a husband should do:

5:25 Husbands, love your wives, even as Christ also loved the church, and gave himself for it;

5:26 That he might sanctify and cleanse it with the washing of water by the word,

5:27 That he might present it to himself a glorious church, not having spot, or wrinkle, or any such thing; but that it should be holy and without blemish.

5:28 So ought men to love their wives as their own bodies. He that loveth his wife loveth himself.

Ephesians 5:25-28

I am so thankful that the Lord blessed me with a husband that does all these things.

For the wives, here are some good bible verses:

5:22 Wives, submit yourselves unto your own husbands, as unto the Lord.

5:23 For the husband is the head of the wife, even as Christ is the head of the church: and he is the saviour of the body.

5:24 Therefore as the church is subject unto Christ, so let the wives be to their own husbands in every thing.

Ephesians 5:22-24

I hope to continue to be the wife that the Lord wants me to be.

Marriage is a very important topic to talk about, and I hope to add more blog posts in the near future about this.
